67 Shelby restored to correct MCA standards. Has the Ford # under the Shelby # on the inner fender and has the correct door data tag. The car is Candy Apple red with white strips and it was originally Lime Gold. On June 30th 2006 Jim Elsmore from the Shelby registry verified that the vin was correct for # 2998 in the Shelby registry and it is in fact a 67 GT 500. The car is listed on page 764 of the Shelby registry. The car has 100% of its original sheetmetal and has never had any rust issues. I have pulled back the carpet on both sides so you can see the original floorboards with no work done on them and they are rock solid no pitting or rust at all. The car was sold new in Orange California and I bought it in Reno Neveda. The under side of the car looks like new with the red oxide primer and the correct markings on the driveshaft, engine, tranny and rear end. ( If you look close you can see there are no markings on the drive shaft and the seat plugs are not in this was taken right before the car was finished and that is now done.) The interior is in excellent shape with new seat covers, headliner, and carpet. This car has the correct steering wheel and it is in excellent condition and if you know anything about these cars you know the horn button and steering wheel will cost you about 5,000 dollars. The engine is correctly dated 6J21and the casting # is C6ME-A. The heads, exhaust manifolds, and fan are correct. We put on new correct carbs from Carls Ford parts and the car runs excellent. The air cleaner is an original air cleaner and it is correct and in excellent condition. The engine, tranny and rear end are fresh and only have test miles on them. The intake casting is C7ZX9425A and it is correct. The underside of the car and engine compartment were just refurbished by our company Kevins Klassic Cars. The paint and interior were done previously. The paint is an 8.5 out of 10 and has very few flaws. It is base coat clear coat and it is smooth and shiny. The car came with a fold down rear seat, interior decor group, power steering, power front disc brakes, and a tach. It is a 428 PI engine with an automatic tranny. We are always looking for cars to restore so if you have a car you need to get rid of before your wife lets you have this one we would be happy to take it on trade. We will take both project cars and finished cars on trade. This is a correct car except for the color and it is very solid and has all original sheetmetal.
